Medieval Life & Pageants! .....................The Siege

Another chapter in the life and times of medieval Britain. These I took on my trip to Prudhoe castle during the siege. No I'm not that old. This was another excellent event staged by the English Heritage and performed by some first class medieval enactors. These girls and guys really put their heart and soul in to these events and boy their knowledge and attention to detail is second to none. And the great thing is they are so willing to co-operate and answer questions. The siege of Prudhoe castle depicts Odinel holding his ground against William the lion of Scotland around 1173. Incidentally Prudhoe was never successfully taken. I hope you enjoy my little shot of a time in history.
