Medieval Life & Pageants! .....................In To Battle

I am very fortunate to live where I do, here in Northumberland. With so many Castles and historic sites nearby I have a wealth of places to visit right on my doorstep. Perhaps one of the finest organisations to become a member of, if like me, you are a frequent, or for that matter infrequent visitor to historic places is the English Heritage who look after many sites from world-famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles. Not only do they look after and maintain these fantastic places, but throughout the year stage special events such as medieval displays, falconry and more. In these pages I hope to show some of these pageants to give you a flavour of what life must have been like back in the days of Ladies, Lords, Knights and serfs. I hope you enjoy what you see. And of course I will be adding to the section over time.
